About TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon

The TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon is Canada’s premier running event and the grand finale of the Canada Running Series. Since 2017, the race has served as the Athletics Canada National Marathon Championships and has doubled as the Olympic Trials. During the 2021 hybrid event, participants raised over $3 million for 151 community charities through the TCS Charity Challenge.

With innovation and organization as TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon guiding principles, they stage great experiences for runners of all levels, from Canadian Olympians to recreational and charity runners. Their mission is “building community through the sport of running” and they are committed to making sport part of sustainable communities and the city-building process.

TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon is the major sponsor partnering with Canada Running Series to organize the 2022 Toronto Waterfront Marathon. As part of the TCS Charity Challenge, Global Care Outreach Program – Guyana Dialysis and Eye Clinic’s is registered as an Official Charity Partner for the event.

What is the TCS Charity Challenge?

The TCS Charity Challenge unites the spirit of runners with a unique fundraising program to support local charities in our community. Each Charity that is part of the TCS Charity Challenge will have their own personalized fundraising page to share with family and friends.

Register for a 5K, Half Marathon or Full Marathon. During the process of registration, you’ll be given the option to sign up for the TCS Charity Challenge to fundraise for a participating charity. In your case our Charity is Global Care Outreach Program Guyana Dialysis & Eye Clinic’s.

Primary Responsibilities of the TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon and Canada Running Series

Stage the event, including, but not limited to providing:
  • Finisher medal
  • Personalized runners bib
  • Souvenir shirt
  • In-person runners – Provide food and beverages before, during, and after the event
  • Virtual Runners will receive Larabar and Nuun products with their race kits
  • Facilitate race kits pick up for in-person runners on October 14 and 15/’22
  • Ship race kits to Virtual runners
  • An official time run on a measured, certified, and secure course
Takes on all the responsibility and all the risk of the event

Primary Responsibilities of the Participating Charities

  • Marketing and Fundraise for their respective charities
  • Recruit and Sign-up Participants/Runners
  • Help Participants to fundraise
  • Sell Sponsorships
