Few noteworthy Items:

International runners are welcome to join the Virtual Run
US/International runners will be required to pay a $20 add-on shipping fee to have their race kit shipped to them

Age Limits:

5K no age restrictions. Highly recommend that children under the age of 12, participating in the 5K event, run with an adult over the age of 18
21K in person and virtual – 16 years and over
42K in person and virtual – 18 years and over

Some specific things to note when you are completing your application:

(1). If you are running/walking the in-person 5K, select 90 minutes for the following question, this way all members of our team will start together. If you are doing the Virtual Run/Walk, this is not applicable.

(2) For the following questions select the ‘checked answers’ and the answers that are displayed in the ‘Team category’ and ‘Select team’ questions. These answers will link your registration to our Charity & our Marathon Team.

(3). If you decide to add a donation to yourself at the time of registration, please answer the question – How would you like to apply this donation? as follows ‘Donate to your name fundraising page’. In this example the name is showing as Registrant 123’s, in your case it will be your name.

What does your registration fee go towards?

The cost of the registration fee supports the staging of the event, including, but not limited to, the souvenir shirt, finisher medal, personalized bib, ship race kits to Virtual runners, food and beverages before, during, and after the event, an official time run on a measured, certified, and secure course, a post-race experience, and more. The fuller explanation is that we (Canada Running Series) take on all the responsibility and all the risk of the event. If at the end day when everything is paid for, there is a profit, that modest profit goes to CRS. And if there is a loss, that falls on us too. This way, our charities have a wonderful run experience for their community without the work, liability and risk. And this enables them to devote 100% of their time to fundraising, receive 100% of all donations, and have no fear of loss. We do not charge the charities a penny for providing the event and the fundraising opportunity.

What happens after you are registered?

Each Participant will be provided with an electronic fundraising page. This page can be sent out by Email, Facebook, Instagram, Text, Whatsapp and other social media methods to potential donors advising them that you are running/walking in the 2022 Toronto Waterfront Marathon. You will request their support to sponsor you in the Marathon run/walk for Guyana dialysis and eye clinic’s charity. No donation amount is too small or too large. We will be available to help you create you donation link and message.
