No. Hinduism believes in Karma. Karma starts from thoughts or rather a thought. Each thought is a link in an endless chain of cause and effect. Each link in the endless chain is welded out of three components – desire, thought and activity. A desire stimulates a thought, a thought then manifests as an action and action constitutes the web of destiny. I am in a particular place as a result of my thoughts and the actions that follow.

This question may also come in another form – using luck instead of coincidence. It is our karma, our thoughts and thereby our actions that are manifested to create the destiny or coincidences or results that we may deem to be our luck.
