Our temple community continues to grow, and we are looking for dedicated volunteers who would like to share their time, skills, and energy in service to our devotees and community.

Front Desk / Reception Support

Help welcome devotees and visitors and provide information about our temple and community programs. As the first point of contact, front desk volunteers play an important role in creating a welcoming and helpful experience.

Front Desk / Reception Support

Volunteer times:

  • Sunday to Saturday: 8:00 AM – Noon
  • Noon – 5:00 PM and 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Additional times as needed during special events.

Responsibilities include:

  • Answering the telephone.
  • Welcoming visitors and responding to general inquiries.
  • Providing information about temple programs and activities.
  • Helping devotees access our online donation options.
  • Showing devotees how to access our online calendar of temple events.
  • Helping devotees connect with our social media platforms.
  • Providing information about how to access and navigate our website.

Chef Assistant

Volunteer times:

  • Sunday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • Monday and Tuesday: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Additional times as needed or during special events.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the chef and kitchen team with food preparation and related tasks.
  • Helping maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Following all food-safety and kitchen procedures.

Dining Hall Preparation

Volunteer times:

  • Sunday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Monday: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Tuesday: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Additional times as needed or during special events.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing the dining hall before service.
  • Handing out plates and assisting devotees.
  • Packing meals when take-out service is offered and there is no dine-in service.
  • Packing leftover food for distribution when applicable.
  • Coordinating and directing devotees to properly dispose of garbage.
  • Helping maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area.

Volunteer times:

  • Engaging with devotees and answering basic questions.

  • Helping visitors access information on our website.
  • Providing general assistance to devotees on the temple floor.

Mandir Team – Prashad & Aarti Support

Volunteer times:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – Noon
  • Sunday: 9:00 AM – Noon
  • Additional times as needed during special events.

Responsibilities include:

  • Sharing and packing prashad.
  • Organizing devotees into orderly lines for aarti.
  • Guiding devotees to the appropriate lines and areas.
  • Helping maintain a peaceful and quiet environment within the Mandir.
  • Providing gentle reminders about maintaining silence and respectful conduct.
  • Assisting with crowd flow during major events such as Navratri, Shivratri, and other large celebrations.
  • Helping ensure that devotees can participate in aarti and other religious activities in an organized manner.

Parking Coordination

Volunteer times:

  • Primarily during special events and major religious celebrations.
  • Additional times as needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Directing vehicles to available parking areas.
  • Helping maintain an orderly flow of traffic.
  • Assisting seniors and visitors when appropriate.
  • Providing directions to designated parking areas.
  • Working with the event team during particularly busy celebrations.

Temple Photography & Video Team

Volunteer times:

  • During temple programs, pujas, festivals, cultural programs, celebrations, and community activities.

  • Additional times as needed during special events.

Responsibilities include:

  • Taking photos and short videos during temple events and activities.

  • Capturing meaningful moments and community highlights.

  • Creating short/reel-style videos for social media.

  • Helping prepare photos and videos for Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp Channel, and other temple platforms.

  • Assisting with basic video editing and social media posting.

  • Respecting religious practices, traditions, and the temple environment while taking photos and videos.

No professional experience is required. If you enjoy taking photos or videos and would like to contribute your time and skills to the temple, we would love to hear from you.

Audio Support

Volunteer times:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Sunday: 9:00 AM – Noon
  • Additional times as needed during special events.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with microphones, speakers, and other audio equipment.
  • Helping set up and test audio equipment before programs begin.
  • Monitoring sound during prayers, aarti, announcements, and other temple programs.
  • Assisting with basic audio troubleshooting when needed.
  • Helping ensure that microphones and sound levels are appropriate during programs.
  • Coordinating with priests, program leaders, and other volunteers to support smooth programs.
  • Helping set up and put away audio equipment after programs.
  • Providing audio support during major religious celebrations and special events.

Streaming Support

Volunteer times:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

  • Sunday: 9:00 AM – Noon

  • Additional times as needed during special events.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with live streaming of temple programs, prayers, aarti, and special events.
  • Setting up and checking cameras, streaming equipment, and related technology.
  • Starting and monitoring live streams.
  • Helping ensure that camera views and audio are appropriate for the program.
  • Assisting with basic technical troubleshooting when needed.
  • Helping manage online streaming platforms and program information.
  • Coordinating with the Audio Support team and program organizers.
  • Helping record and organize video content when appropriate.
  • Providing streaming support during major religious celebrations and special events.
